Wishing for Fall

Ok, I know you're thinking "she must have lost her mind while she was gone". Well, I kinda have, but that's another story.

The weather here for the last few days has turned alot cooler and it really has me in the mood for fall. Fall is my favorite time of year and I really tend to rush it as soon as we have a cool spell. The leaves aren't changing yet, my hummingbirds are flying everywhere, and I know there is alot of warm weather to come. I guess I was hoping that changing my background would hurry up the cooler weather! I can't wait to get outside when there's that chill in the air, we actually have one now at night, but it's just not the same as October. Now I'm not wishing my life away, if October would just get here, it could stay forever! We usually try to find a few days to go to the mountains in October to catch the leaves turning since they aren't nearly as pretty here and I'm hoping we get to make it this year. We may not get to, but that is yet another story. Yes, I have lots of stories going on right now! I'll save those for another day, don't want to use up all my "blogging time" in one day now that I've come back!

What is your favorite season and what are some of the things you look forward to?

Surprise!!

I know you all are surprised to see me here....I've been meaning to do this forever, but it just seems like I haven't had time to just sit and think about what I want to write. As is the case today, but I was determined to get back to blogging, I miss my friends from blogland!

It's been a busy summer. Between baseball with Jacob and working, there just hasn't been a lot of time for anything. I did get to meet one of my "blog friends" though. Kat from "Just a Beachcat" came to Southaven to watch her grandson play baseball in July and we met, where else but at the ball park!

I brought my camera in to the computer to download some pics of some of the things I had done this summer and don't ask me why, but my memory stick is blank, except for a few pictures that I took at Sr. Bingo at work. Now, I haven't taken them to print, or done anything, but they are not there. I can't believe it.....there were a few on there that I am very upset to lose.

We had puppies this summer, well actually on Memorial Day.....trust me, we will remember that. Our yellow lab, Sadie, had 6 puppies and it took her forever. We were a wreck because we had never had puppies (and won't again), we were so worried when it took her so long, but it all turned out good. Our youngest daughter and her husband kept one, so she comes to visit pretty often!

Only a trip to Canton Ms for the state baseball tournament and a short trip to Knoxville so far this year, it's just a crazy busy year for us, so we'll probably only get another short trip to Knoxville in the fall to see the leaves in Gatlinburg. I would have loved a trip to the beach, but it just didn't happen and I LOVE the mtns in the fall, so it will all be ok, once I get to go there!

That's a short synopsis of my summer, just wanted to write so it would jump start me.....I promise I'm not going away again.......take care and can't wait to hear from some of you!
