HAPPY EASTER!

I just wanted to make sure to wish everyone a very Happy Easter. Please take the time to remember what this holiday is all about. It breaks my heart when I think about what Jesus did for ME....and for YOU. It breaks my heart, yet I am so grateful that He did that so that I could live forever and thank goodness I won't live forever here in this world. As good as it gets sometimes, just think how good it is going to be. Wow. And as bad as it gets sometimes, just think one day we won't have to deal with those things anymore. It gives me chills just to think about it. Thank you Jesus for all you did for me and for all You are going to do!

I hope you have a great family day. We'll do what we usually do around here.......eat. We don't have a big family, both of my parents and both brothers have been gone now for a few years, and Ronnie's famiy doesn't live here so it's just the girls, son in law, grandson and us. It makes holidays sad in a way, but I am thankful that I still have both girls and Ronnie to spend the holiday with. After last year, I'm thankful for everyday with them.....although some days are better than others :), if you know what I mean! I am thankful even for the days that aren't as good as some!

Happy Easter!

HOPE I NEVER SEE ANOTHER PLASTIC EASTER EGG!

Just a quick note. I have been stuffing plastic Easter eggs for what seems like forever! I am a marketing director for a Chick-fil-A . Tomorrow night I am having an Easter egg hunt on my parking lot. The Lowe's across the street from our store is donating 1400 sq. ft. of sod and 20-25 "trees and plants" so that we can have a grassy area to hunt on. I am really excited, or at least I was until the weather decided not to cooperate. No, really I am excited and love doing activities with kids there. It's so fun to watch them. Hubby helped me stuff 3000 eggs with #'s for prizes and we finally finished a little while ago. Don't know if the time shows or not, but it is 12:50 AM here and I am pooped! Can't sleep in because hubby has an appt with the cardiologist at 9:15 so I really should turn it.

Oh, go over to http://fly4luv.blogspot.com/ and register for Becky's spring giveaway. She's giving away lots of goodies to get the cook out season started!

Have a great Tuesday, I'll see ya after the egg hunt!

HAS IT REALLY BEEN THIS LONG??

My Life Until October!

I can't believe it's been so long since I've been here. I guess time really does fly when you're having fun. Baseball season has started so that is where the majority of my time is spent in the summer. Jacob, my 10 year old grandson "eats, breathes, sleeps" baseball....and he is really good. Not because he is my grandson, it's because he has good genes.....my family! Just kidding. My oldest brother was a professional baseball player in th 60's. I was fortunate enough to attend the 1969 World Series. And no, I didn't think the Mets were so amazing. My brother played for the Orioles. He was a pitcher. Jacob also has baseball genes on his dad's side. His dad was a left handed pitcher in high school, went to college on a schlorship, had the opportunity to sign with the majors, but let's just say a little attitude got in the way. I think he is living his dream through Jacob, which makes it a little tougher on Jacob. Anyway, his first tournament was a couple of weeks ago and we won't stop, except for Easter, Mother's Day and Father's Day weekend until October. Oh, there will be a small break in August I think, before "fall ball" starts.
I promised myself before I started blogging that I wasn't going to start something and not keep up with it. Not a very good start, huh? I'm promising to do better. Now I'm going to go and catch up on all of you! Have a great week.
