Frustration

Ok, I know the only real way to learn how to do something is to do it........and do it......and do it. At least in my case, it never seems to work the first time. I added the picture of my sweet little furry baby (that's not what my hubby calls her, but I think he's just jealous!). Now I love her, but she doesn't have to take up half of the column and I can't figure out how to reduce the size of the picture. If I try to edit, the only option is to delete. I've seen enough of your blogs to know that you can make the pictures whatever size you want and I'm going to figure it out if it kills me...and it very well may.

I'm tired of all this cold weather. I want to be where I can wear my flip flops and tee shirts. I'm not a cold weather person anyway, but goodness this is getting ridiculous. I want to see sunshine! At least if it's going to be this cold, it should come with snow and not just enough to make people think it's going to do something.

Never Satisfied

Well, we didn't get the ice....a good thing. We did get a "dusting" of snow....not a good thing. It was only "a dusting". I mean really, if school is going to be out, people are going to rush to the grocery, we may as well get a "big one". Don't you agree?

I'm going to attempt to put a picture on here....this should be interesting. I am learning slowly, but we'll see how long this one takes. I know I sound like I'm computer illiterate or something, but it really is just that I don't sit still in one place long enough to learn how to do this. I'm one of these people who come to the computer, do something, look at email or a blog or two, then I leave and go do something else, then come back and repeat the process. I normally don't sit here for hours at a time. Now, don't get me wrong, I spend way too much time here, it's just not all at one time. Maybe that's the problem, if I spend all my time here, then left and didn't come back, that might get more accomplished everywhere. Well, that's probably not going to happen, so I just wasted all that time figuring that out!

Have a great day, I'm off to work for a little while. That's the beauty of my job, I can pretty much do it when I want to, either here or at the restaurant. Stay warm!

Brrrrrr........it's cold

Well, they say we are going to have an ice storm tonight, but who really knows. First it was going north of us, then coming here, now who knows.....is this weather crazy or what. Today, it was 38 degrees here, but only 75 miles from here, it was 65 degrees. Now that's crazy. I guess because it's not very far and not unusual to drive there, it just doesn't seem like there should be that much difference in the temperature.

Hopefully, we are about to get back to normal around here. Jacob is much better after the dr. trip and getting medicine....of course you've never seen a girl that could hold a candle to my little "drama king"! He was walking a little "gingerly" tonight and his Papa reminded him that he was walking just fine when he picked him up at school today, well, you should have seen that grin on his face. I think he knows how to get some "extra lovin" from Grammy.

Hope you stay warm where you are and if we get some ice, I'll be sure to send some pictures, there really is nothing prettier than an ice covered tree!

Well, it's day two, but I really haven't had much time to play with this so it looks the same.

I had to take Jacob, my grandson to the dr. today. He had some minor surgery last week and went back to school today. His teacher called me after just a couple of hours and said he was crying and didn't feel well. He's 10 and in 5th grade so if he's crying at school, he must feel bad so his papa picked him up at school and I came to take him to the dr. Well, the dr. decided there was some infection there so put him on medicine and home we came. What kind of surgery did he have? Well, let's just say, it's not pleasant for a male to have this after he gets older than an infant! Since both of my children are girls, I'm not used to dealing with these sorts of "things" so this has been quite an experience for me! Hopefully now with the meds, we are on the way to being "well" real soon!

It's cold here and they say we may get "ice" tomorrow night. Probably won't since they are predicting it! Hope it's warm where you are.

Don't laugh.........yet!

Well, I've been threatening to do this and actually set up a blog a couple of weeks ago, but haven't had the nerve to actually post yet. All of a sudden, I decided this was just as good as any time....so here we go. I have no idea where to find all the cutsie headings (as you can tell), and I'm not so great at the computer once you get past playing a few games and the basics, but at least this is a start. The start of a new year (yeah), and a new blog. What more could I ask for?
If you have any good advice for me, please feel free to leave me a message, you sure won't hurt my feelings and maybe soon I'll have one of those cute blogs too!
